Auto Standoff - This is a surface standoff, and should not be confused in any way with vector standoff using 5-axis mode. Auto stand-off will adjust vertically according to the angle of "A" Axis. There are five (5) axis that are considered during calculations. The machine can be controlled manually using buttons on its screen to make the vector standoff change.

Z-Reader Probe-The Z-Reader Probe is a device that maps the location of the surface. It can be programmed or manually controlled. It can be disabled while cutting, and it can be pulled out of harm's reach. It can be activated to verify the surface at each pierce prior to cutting, or to drive surface mapping for the entire part before cutting begins. I beams are mainly made from steel and provide structural integrity with unwavering strength and support. I beam strength is more impressive in the transverse direction, and it can also withstand torsion. Steel can withstand heavy loads.

Channels, or C-beams, are used when the flat back side of the web is mounted to another flat surface. This allows for maximum contact. Sometimes they are welded back-to-back to create a non-standard I beam.
